Overview

Tokenization pilots are increasingly easy to demonstrate. Institutional markets are harder to build. A successful issuance proves that a token can exist; it does not prove that the asset can be governed, serviced, distributed, settled and redeemed at scale.

Moving beyond the pilot requires the legal instrument, investor eligibility, transfer controls, custody, payments, corporate actions, reporting, liquidity and settlement to operate as one market system. If any layer remains isolated, the pilot stays a demonstration rather than becoming infrastructure.
